Water vs Fire
hi and welcome to that new lesson ...
After a long search we found to you a great PhotoShop lesson , enjoy !!
To start working you must download the following resource pack

open a new document 1500x1200 pixels resolution 72dpi RVB8bits colors with a black background.
Open the next image in "resource pack"
Desaturate it by going to Menu> Image> Adjustments> Desaturate (Ctrl + Shift + U).
Then invert the colors by going to Menu> Image> Adjust> Invert (Ctrl + i)
Take the eraser tool (E) and erase the part of forearms of the image to get this
Add a layer of color balance adjustment by going to Menu> Layer> New Adjustment Layer> Color Balance and set the tone like this.
Now we will create the effect of light on the image and do you need to import the following texture in your document and adjust it like this
Change its blending mode to Lighten and then with the Eraser Tool (E) delete the black protruding parts.
Use another fire texture to give more realism to your artwork
Import the following chips in your document and adjust like this
Add a layer of color balance adjustment by going to Menu> Layer> New Adjustment Layer> Color Balance and then go to Menu> Layer> Create Clipping Mask to only apply the effect on the texture of chips .
Then set the tone and means Dark like this
Now the last two duplicate layer and merge them to create another layer with bursts with orange colors and change its size by enlarging it like this (Ctrl + T)
Apply over a Gaussian blur filter by going to Menu> Filter> Blur> Gaussian Blur.
Reduce its opacity to 30%.
Import other texture bursts like this
Apply over a Gaussian blur filter by going to Menu> Filter> Blur> Gaussian Blur.
Duplicate your layer (Ctrl + J) and then apply above a blur filter by going to Menu> Filter> Blur> Motion Blur.
Import other chips, follow the above steps to change their colors and then apply above fuzzy filters and Gaussian blur directional few pixels to obtain the following result.
Now import the hand again if you do not have a backup hand trimmed
Now import the splash of water and adjust the level of the second hand
Then go to Menu> Layer> Create Clipping Mask
Change its blending mode to Overlay
Duplicate the image of the water splash and delete all parties except small chips
Change its blending mode to Overlay
Import the following texture in your document and adjust it like this
Erase some part of the image using the Eraser Tool (E)
Do the same for the other texture
Change its blending mode to Overlay.
If you have another burst do not hesitate to put not too
Then select the layers of hand, water bursts and merge them (Ctrl + E), if you have a little black spring that it is not serious change its blending mode to lighten, then add a layer Balance color setting by going to Menu> layer> New adjustment Layer> color Balance and then go to Menu> layer> Create clipping Mask to not apply the effect on the water side.
Create a new layer (Ctrl + Shift + N) and draw over a white star.
Create another layer, take the brush tool (B), round shapes with a hardness of 0% and a low opacity and draw two round with the colors blue and yellow # # 5cd3ff fcc946.
Change its blending mode to Overlay and reduce its opacity to 20%
Import the image of the next halo in your document
Change its blending mode to Overlay
Create another layer, take the brush tool (B), a hardness of 0% and paint both sides with the colors blue and orange # # 00c2f2 ff9c00.
Change its blending mode to Overlay and reduce its opacity to 66%.
Now we will sharpen the image, to do this, press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + E for a copy of the merged layers then go to Menu> Filter> Sharpen> Unsharp
